Por cierto, para completar un poco el tema, en lo que a cuantificadores se refiere, os dejo unas tablas sobre su uso:

Afirmativa	SOME	There´s some water in the glass.          There are some trees in the garden.

Interrogativa	ANY?	Is there any water in the glass? Are there any trees in the garden?

Afirmativa	a lot of (bastantes)	There´s a lot of sugar in the bowl.          There are a lot of books on the shelf.
Negativa	Not much Not many	There isn´t much sugar in the bowl.      There aren´t many books on the shelf
Interrogativa	much? many?	Is there much sugar in the bowl? Are there many books on the shelf?

En definitiva,

There is	some a lot of much a little (poco/a)           no / not any	milk in this bottle
There are	some several (varios/as) many a lot of a few (poco/a) no / not any	There isn´t much sugar in the bowl. There aren´t many books on the shelf
